Budget & Finance
Chair - Jason Briggs
Purpose: To plan and oversee all financial aspects of the Church; to ensure the budget is in line with the giving and expenditures; provide the congregation with information on Church finances and answer questions or inquiries as to the Church finances.

Building & Grounds
Chair - JD Johnson
Purpose: Maintains in good repair the buildings and grounds of the Church; has specific concern to provide a safe, user friendly, attractive place for worship, learning, fellowship and recreation, defined/easy parking and well lighted traffic areas.

Assist in keeping grounds & cemetery clean
Donate talents/tools for special projects
Christian Education
Chair - Sue Rice
Purpose: Develops and supervises the formal education programs of the church, as approved by the Session, through enlisting, and providing training for, officers and teachers of the Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Youth Group; sponsoring the Children’s Christmas Program; and promoting Presbytery events scheduled for children/youth/adults, including camps and conferences.

Communications
Chair - Zannie Smith
Purpose: To provide internal information in a timely manner to all worshipers in the Church; To promote
activities of the church through various internal and external media.
Ways You Can Help:
Keep the committee informed of all special events and activities requiring publicity; submit photos and
articles for publication
Congregational Life
Chair - Anita Carter
Purpose: Under the direction of the session, the Congregational Life Committee plans for congregational fellowship events gathered around meals or refreshments and programmatic concerns. The program at these events is the responsibility of the committee/ program area requesting the meal or refreshments. The Congregational Life Committee responds to members' care needs and service opportunities in the congregation.

Set up/ clean up for fellowship meals
Outreach
Chair - Daniel Brooks
Purpose: To oversee the mission work of the church and energize the congregation in support of mission efforts at all levels of the church. Serve as an outreach to visitors and prospective new members. Review requests for emergency help within the community and co-ordinate an appropriate response from the church.
Ways You Can Help:
Be aware of new visitors at 8:30 and 11:00 worship services, greet them and make them feel welcome.
Fill out Pew Pads each Sunday and include name and address.
Share information about emergency needs in the community with the Outreach Committee members.
Worship
Chair - Parks Blake
Purpose: To provide worship experiences that are spiritually nourishing for the congregation.
Ways You Can Help:
Volunteer to be a greeter/usher for Worship and other services
Assist with Nursery
Sign up to provide flowers
Share musical talents through choir or as instrumentalists, soloists
Cypress House - (Headstart in Vass)
Cypress Church helped start an organization that provides housing and assistance to a Headstart location in Vass. The organization has been able to obtain 501c status and operate on its own. Cypress members remain on the board and many members assist with fund raising. The Heartstart orgainization has closed the location in Vass. The Cypress house board is reevaluating how they can help children in the Vass/Cameron area. Cypress Presbyterian Women's Circle
